Synthetic Turf fitted around my outdoor swimming pool because it was much more practical than grass. When we had natural grass it was constantly brown and very muddy, the grass became very thin and it was marshy. Of course with our weather it never really got the chance to grow back before the kids were in and out of the pool again. We had our outdoor heated swimming pool put in about two years ago when my youngest child turned thirteen, it is great in summer and the kids are even brave enough to have a dip in winter, although to be fair it is very hot constantly. Its fabulous in summer and goes down a treat when we have barbeques, there is a small area around the pool which is tiled but then the whole garden was natural grass until you reach the patio area so it just got ruint. Synthetic Turf is really good and suits us, I thought it would look like a sports pitch but you really cant tell the difference. The girls prefer it when they are excersicing and its much easier to upkeep having three dogs. I spimply hose the
Synthetic Turf down and it is clean, the garden stays looking tidy and it keeps the garden furniture in good nick.
